What Florida records: Florida records most wells by street address, so if there's a well on a given property it's usually in the data — and the report includes it. We map the address you enter, count the official FL WMD/county records around it, and flag whether one sits on the parcel itself.

Lookups use the official Florida FL WMD/county database (updated weekly here). Location accuracy varies by record (wells are plotted from coordinates recorded by the permitting district or county; coverage spans the ~36 Florida counties that publish well records as public data (the Tampa Bay, Orlando–Jacksonville, Fort Myers and Miami-Dade regions) — Broward, Palm Beach, Collier and the Panhandle counties keep their records offline and are not yet included. Within the covered counties, most wells carry precise permit coordinates; a subset of Southwest Florida (SWFWMD) permits were filed without a mapped location, so those wells are counted in the county-level statistics but do not appear in the address/map lookup (we omit them rather than plot a placeholder point)).
